You are applying for down payment assistance that is provided by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The amount of financial assistance you can receive is up to $14,500, however, government regulations now require that you must have a credit score above 580 in order to qualify.

Before you apply, order your free credit report and scores for free from www.freecreditreportsinstantly.com or www.freecreditreports360.com and enter the score into your application . If you credit score is below 580, we ask that you improve your credit and apply at a later date. If your family combined income is below $30,000 we ask that you do not submit an application, until your income increases.

Your application will be reviewed by an American Housing representative and you will be informed if you qualify; usually within 2 weeks. Free online homebuyer conferences are held Bi-Weekly on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM central time. To register for the next conference click here .

The Association of Realtors, Department of Housing and Fannie Mae are sponsoring 4 hours of Realtor education. It is recommended that you choose a trained Realtor for they know that HUD permits homebuyers to receive both Federal and local assistance and that Realtors without this training do not know about and it could cost you thousands of dollars.
